The Warm Light Guide

At Ember & Eave we believe every corner of home deserves warmth, even the ones without a socket nearby. This short guide explains how our lights work so you can pick the right one for your space.

Cordless & rechargeable lights

Our cordless lamps and wall lights have a built-in rechargeable battery. Charge them by USB, then place or mount them wherever you like: no trailing wires, no electrician and no rewiring. They are ideal for rented homes, bedsides, hallways, shelves and alcoves. Battery life depends on the model and brightness setting, so check each product page for details.

Plug-in wall lights

Plug-in wall lights mount to the wall and run from a standard socket via a cable. They give you the look of a fitted wall light without any wiring work, which makes them a renter-friendly upgrade.

Candle warmer lamps

A candle warmer lamp melts your jar candle from above using a warm bulb, so there is no naked flame. The fragrance is released evenly, the candle burns without tunnelling, and it lasts longer. Always follow the instructions supplied with your lamp and never leave it running unattended for long periods.

Choosing warm light

For a cosy feel, look for warm white settings (around 2700K to 3000K). Many of our lamps let you dim the brightness or switch colour temperature, so you can go from bright reading light to a soft evening glow.
